About Tracy

Tracy Apperson's passion for homesteading and more natural living began in 2013, when she left her career as a clinical laboratory scientist and chemist to live off grid in Newfoundland, where she taught math to carpentry apprentices. Today, Ms. Apperson owns Sparrow Rose Soap & Herbs, making luxury hand made soaps. Her passions include bushcraft, camping, kayaking, gardening, and homesteading. Ms. Apperson is a wilderness guide who is very active in the online bushcraft communities; instructing on wilderness living, survival, and foraging. She is an active member of numerous plant and environmental protection focused organizations. She also teaches Bible study groups in her free time.
